As you get away from the coast the landscape becomes a desert. The Agave stores water in their thick leave. Only once in a livetime the Agave grows a blossom that stands up like an antenna from the leaves. Due to the Mexican favor for Tequila, however, the Algave is only found rarely on the Baja California.
