Cirios or Boojum Tree - Baja California

The Cirios or Boojum Tree is not a real cactus.Like the cardon he can grow up to a size of 70 feet. Sometimes he looks like a huge carrot planted upside down in the desert. After it has been raining, it grows leaves which it later drops in order to prevent evaporation of water. |
