The dry Valle de San Felipe is only populated by the must durabel plants. One of them is the Octillo with its snake like branches. After a rain it grows little leaves an red blossoms at its tip. Although the dry soil seemed to bo composed mostly from sand and stones
this Ocotillo and most of the the other plants looked surpringly fresh and green.
